We are looking for a Developer / Business Analyst, PL/SQL to join an IT team in Geneva in the commodities sector.

The company developed their own Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) system that covers all aspects of their business activities across the globe. It's the core of the business process and all the employees are working with it on a daily bases.

The CTRM Team covers all the functions of the CTRM and works on all the related projects.

The core technologies, including PL/SQL and Oracle Forms Builder, are still an important part of what the CTRM team is doing. And they are gradually migrating to a more contemporary technology stack.

As a member of the CTRM team, located in Geneva, Switzerland, you will:

Mission :

• Contribute to the development of the core system by developing new features based on user requirements to meet the evolving business needs,
• Work with the established technologies to get familiar with the data model and business logic,
• Be part of the technology migration,
• Work closely with a wide range of users to identify & prioritize requirements and design technical solutions,
• Maintain & further improve system modules, including the ones you will help build but also existing ones,
• Provide business applications support and training to users on day to day issues,
• Work on the CTRM projects as :

Modelling cash-for-product loan repayments in our Finance P&L,
Building a valuation engine for non-linear complex options that we trade,
Running a systems integration with an acquired company.

Profile and skills:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Proven data modelling skills to translate business situations into data structures, proficiency in SQL,
• Min 4 years experience in similar position,
• Experience with PL/SQL (preferred) or a similar procedural DB programming language (e.g. T-SQL),
• Experience with Oracle Forms builder,
• Experience with programming in C#, C++ or Python
• Able to work independently as well as in a team,
• Proactive and user-focused "make it work" mentality,
• Genuine interest in the functional as well as technical aspects,
• Comfortable with daily release cycle model,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Fluent in English,
• Previous experience in the commodities and/or trading industry
• French language is a plus.
